31 October 2008, is 3rd Spay Day for organized by CWS. We managed to get 155 cats sterilized.

The night before, I embarked on a trapping mission with a few caregivers. The trapping was very successful as there were many feeders. Unfortunately, these are feeders who don't bother with sterilization.

It is a raw area and the catching was fun. The wary cats stepping on the trap and successfully transfering them into the carrier, gave me an adrenaline rush.

My prize for the night is this pregnant tabby cat. We are unsuccessful in trapping her bacause a kaypo sterilized cat kept disturbing her.

While we were packing up and call it a day, the 4th feeder appeared. The cat immediately warmed up to her and was rubbing around her legs.

With only user-un-friendly carriers left, I gave it a last shot.

The typical scenario happened. The feeder refused to listen to me and tried to be helpful by catching the cat on her own. As usual, she got scratched. As usual, the cat got frightened. As ususal, time got wasted.

We waited for the cat calm down before I can get close enough with the feeder and grab the cat.

I started with the labelling of the cages upon reaching home. That's the queue waiting to be checked in.
The location I am heading went smoothly. I knew all the caregivers except for one. We managed to place all the cats into the slots and I accepted 2 other unregistered cats.

In the late afternoon, I started by picking up cats from Vet Practice and sending the goody bags to Bedok and pick up cats from ARC East.

The remaining cats arrived at the stadium around 7pm from 3 other clinics.

As I wanted to end the day early, I sent a few cats back to the homes of the caregivers. We finished the event at the stadium by 7.30pm.

I headed off to The Joyous Vet to check out the last 10 cats. The receptionist kindly told me that there is a back door which linked to the loading bay. It was so much easier to load the cats.

The end of the exhausting but exciting day.
